Voice Club Singers      Evening class Tuesday Evening, 8pm - 9.30pm   This friendly, fun and creative, mixed ability Voice Club ensemble class runs  termly, held in the beautiful acoustic space of Holy Innocents Church. We open our doors to new members to  develop your voice with us. Technique training, relaxation and voice-freeing practice, breath work, and vocal development exercises form the first half of the session, followed by ensemble singing of songs in harmony and unison. Developing vocal confidence and freedom while singing an eclectic range of repertoire. Our repertoire covers Folk, Jazz, Classical, Country, Musical Theatre, Opera and  uplifting music from around the world. The final evening of the term is a social invitation to friends and family to hear us and join us in song (and refreshments!) Since our formation in November 2016 Voice Club Singers are emerging as a vocal ensemble, applying our continuing technique work to an eclectic mix of songs. Week by week we practice a series of vocal exercises to develop range, control and stamina - with the focus on creativity, relaxation, freedom and fun. Our repertoire ranges from folk/irish part songs to musical theatre, sea shanties and classical. There are opportunities for solo singing (or not!) The ability to read music is not essential or expected,  non-readers and beginners are very welcome. Sheet music is sometimes used in repertoire, but parts are also taught by ear and become familiar.
